Staffing Coordinator (HR)

Viking Group is currently seeking a Staffing Coordinator for our Hastings, MI location (relocating to our new Corporate office in Caledonia, MI in the summer of 2019!). New Corporate Office!
Assists and coordinates a variety of projects and programs within the Staffing Department. Coordinates phone interviews, Interviews candidates for hourly positions, and light recruiting. Assists with our Performance Management project and implementation. Provides administrative support for the department.
Coordinates and schedules phone and formal interviews for the recruiter and / or managers.
Contacts individuals to be interviewed by telephone or email.
Drafts offer letters, processing background checks, initiating drug screening for candidates.
Collects hiring documents needed for prehire processing, saves forms in document management system.
Assists with the applicant tracking system administration; including job postings.
Coordinates orientations and training assignments for new hires as instructed.
Connects with Colleges for job postings and coordinates Career Fairs. Attends Career Fairs as needed.
Posts positions on Job Boards and State Job Boards.
Assists with the Performance Management Project to include, but not limited to: Data entry, document creation, project coordination, and ADP Software usage.
Performs clerical support functions including filing, scanning, shredding, spreadsheets, and document management maintenance.
Provides back-up coverage for the reception desk.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Associate's degree (2 years of college) plus internship, or comparable experience in recruiting or human resources. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) and high degree of computer literacy.
Experience with HRIS systems and / or Applicant Tracking Software experience required.
Demonstrated excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and strong organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex projects and programs.
Demonstrated ability to discretely handle matters of confidentiality and with strong ethics.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
